Description
A lovely set in sapphire blue Swarovski crystal beads and stones inset into the gold tone clip earrings. Earrings twice signed inside and out ‘S.A.L’ (for Swarovski American Limited ), an early Swarovski mark used 1977-88. The silver-tone barrel clasp of the necklace is not signed but I bought three necklace/earring sets from the same estate some years ago and all beads are of Swarovski quality. The necklaces each are of different color beads and all three are strung the same way, on monofilament, consistent with early Swarovski bead necklaces, such as their unsigned Edelweiss Collection, and another of the matching color earrings are marked S.A.L..
This set is in very nice condition and is quite wearable. Earrings are like new, but some of the necklace beads do exhibit slight edge dings if examined closely with a loupe. This is such a pretty set the necklace was likely one of the previous owners favorites, please expect some wear testifying to a vintage age.
