Marcello Fantoni 1915 – 2011 from Firenze Italy. He is a well known, highly regarded Florentine abstract daring potter and artist. He is widely exhibited, well educated and collected in galleries, and museums. He is known for his brutalist style.
This large vase stands 18 inches tall and 7 inches wide. It is made from hammered copper/bronze, Grecian welded mid century design metal in the center. It has a bold, textured abstract form. It is signed on the bottom twice.
